One last summer fling...

We took our family (me, Hank and Henry) vacation Labor Day week in Destin, FL. We had so much fun! Bryce and Lara met us - I think they had a good dose of birth control with staying with Mr. Henry for a week... Truthfully, they were such a great help that week and they loved spending time with Henry.

Henry was not too fond of the sand this trip... He also is going through a clingy stage and wanted to be held the whole time. He did like this chair, though.

Henry said his first words on the way to the beach - dada, of course! Actually, he says dadadadada and is VERY proud of himself! We heard this all week, but it is such a sweet sound!

Henry's first experience with a clown - he wasn't too thrilled!

Henry and his Nanny

Meet Miss Catherine, a.k.a, Nanny to Henry. We are soooo fortunate to have her in our lives. As you can see, Henry and Nanny love each other! Catherine has been with us since Henry was 3 months old and she is so good to Mr. Henry.

Can you tell he loves her?!?! Likewise for Miss Catherine - she calls him "her Henry."

Henry helping Daddy

Henry is such a little helper. :) We are working on transforming our bonus room into a playroom for Mr. Henry. Can't get much done with a 10 month old hanging on your leg...

Henry's 1st Day of School

Henry started his first day of "school" this week (aka Mother's Day Out). He goes once a week to play, listen to nursery rhymes, watch finger puppet shows, etc. His teacher said he did really well and ate VERY well! He ate all his lunch I sent (ham, cheese and strawberries) and his two bottles! Here he is on the way to school looking thoughtful...

Of course, he had to have a school lunch box and bag!

Smiling for Mom! I shed a little tear after I dropped him off, but I did enjoy having 4 hours to myself to exercise, go to the store, and run other errands. I think we will both enjoy the "school" year!
